The infographic design process requires careful consideration about which particular data should be used, what the best way to present the data is, and consideration about how to make it easy for people to absorb the data via the format and place in which it is presented.

Every infographic tends to have its own personality, so the visual story can be presented in a number of ways.

These ways typically include:

  • Chart and graphs for numerical information. This would apply mainly to the second data infographic.
  • Graphical icons for each of the main benefits or features.
  • Illustrations.
  • Concise bits of text and numerical information.
  • And decorative elements

The Infographics & Storytelling process includes:

  1. Basic Research
We’ll investigate ways to make sure your information is clear and engaging and identify branding guidelines (colors, typography, etc.)
  2. Outline
We’ll prepare a text outline of the information your infographic will contain and revise until it’s strong, engaging, and cohesive.
  3. Wireframes
We’ll put together a wireframe with ideas about how to lay the information out and which type of information will look best in each place. As many revisions as needed can be done at this stage.
  4. Graphical Concept
We’ll put together a graphical concept with all of the visuals included. Three revisions are possible at this point in order to keep the project on track.
  5. Development
We will refine the small details and prepare the graphic according to your specifications.
  6. Final Delivery!
Final deliverables are typically presented as a full jpg or png graphic and pdf for marketing or print use.
